An incident at the Europa-Park theme park in Germany has resulted in a law suit. A visitor wanting to ride the Poseidon water coaster in the Greece themed area of the park was severely injured before even boarding the ride.

Early in the morning the guest was on their way to the entrance of the 22 year old coaster when disaster struck. A special water effect near the ride malfunctioned and went off at completely the wrong time. The unsuspecting visitor was then launched into the air, even getting laughed at by park guests and employees. Upon returning back down, they were severely injured by the impact on the water.

Quacky McQuackface, as the unlucky bird is called, has now sued the park for negligence and demands a financial compensation for physical and emotional damage. “Not only have I broken every bone in my tiny, feathery body, but my children are scarred for life” says McQuackface. The spokesperson of Europa-Park was not available to comment on the situation.

Poseidon opened in 2000 and has recently been receiving mixed reviews. The coaster, with a height of 23 meters and top speed of 70 kilometers per hour, has often been criticized for being too rough and uncomfortable.
