Phantasialand rarely gives fans insights in their upcoming plans for new areas and attractions, even going as far as removing fan-made footage of the construction site of Rookburgh. However, just one day after the end of the 2022 season, the park has announced a new area which will be their biggest investment to date.

Details remain vague though, as Phantasialand is not willing to share more information with the press at this point in time. However, some documents have been included in a permit application at the local government, which shed some light on the plans Phantasialand has for this new investment.

Since expansion possibilities are limited for the park, they have once again decided to clear space in the park. This time, it is certain the old “Space Center” building will be demolished to make space for the new rides.

A closer look at the documents also reveals that the Wuze Town building will be removed. And all of Fantasy, Berlin, Mexico, and China. As a matter of fact, the entire park will be demolished. According to the documents, Phantasialand is planning to build 40 brand new Crazy Bats clones, which will take up approximately 80% of the entire area available within the park’s borders.

The remaining space will be used for gift shops selling Crazy Bats merchandise and a restaurant selling Chinese specialties. Residents of the nearby town Brühl already reacted positive to the proposed plans, saying that “the decrease of noise and increase of Crazy Bats is a welcomed change”.
